Research Team

The team’s investigators, Dr Tim Hall, Dr Jonathan Garstang and Dr Frances Lindsay are supported by dedicated research team members, Sally Whelan (dedicated Senior Research Nurse and Study Co-ordinator), Lisa Nicholls (dedicated Research Assistant) and Gill Hall (Research Manager). Further medical support is available from our GCP accredited Nurses.

The team’s flexible approach to delivering high quality research means they can consistently participate in Phase II, III, and IV studies. Dr Hall, research active since 1997, has been Chief Investigator for the UK several times, most recently for an influenza study. His most recent publication is Inclisiran in Patients with High CV Risk and Elevated LDL-Cholesterol, NEJM, March 2017. Both Dr Hall and Sally, research active since 1995, have liaised with pharmaceutical companies on protocol design. Examples of the team’s broad experience in clinical trials include cardiovascular disease, dementia, depression and mental health, diabetes, immunisation studies in babies and adults, obesity and pain management. The team consistently delivers high quality research, often recruiting the UK’s first patient, above target recruitment, and being top UK recruiter.
